Columnist Séverine Parlakou has presented practical solutions and smart accessories to help holidaymakers optimize suitcase space. As many French people prepare for summer travel, luggage size remains a major challenge when deciding what to pack.
Parlakou highlighted a water-repellent anti-UV jacket priced at 3.90 euros as a key travel item. The unisex garment features a visor hood for sun protection and guards against short rain showers.
Towel designs for holiday travel
To save space, Parlakou recommended replacing bulky cotton towels with microfibre alternatives. Microfibre towels dry in 30 to 60 minutes compared to several hours for cotton fleece versions, while remaining light and compact.
Parlakou also introduced a towel-bag designed for beach or pool trips. The item folds into itself after use to transform directly into a carrying bag.
Solid stick creams prevent leaks
To prevent liquid cosmetics from leaking inside luggage, Parlakou suggested using stick products instead of traditional tubes. Stick versions are available for sunscreen, moisturizer, and mosquito repellent, with prices ranging between 15 and 25 euros.
