Sandra Bullock says her teenage children constantly impress her, though she admitted her 13-year-old daughter Laila's honesty can sometimes be a little "brutal."
The Practical Magic 2 star spoke about her kids Louis, 16, and Laila, 13, on the September 3 episode of Kylie Kelce's podcast, Not Gonna Lie.
"I was getting on a Zoom, and she walks by and she went, 'You know, you can put a filter on that,'" Bullock said. "I went, 'What?' She goes, 'You can make yourself look better,'" Bullock recalled.
Laila then added a filter to her mother's camera. "It was literally like someone taking Vaseline and smeared it on the lens and put a sheet in front of my face," Bullock quipped. "And I go, 'OK.' And it's still on that same setting."
Despite the mixed feelings, the 62-year-old actress said, "The honesty I appreciate."

Bullock said Laila is more than just a camera-ready assistant, describing her as one of the bravest people she has ever known.
"This child, this young soul, is one of the bravest people I've ever met," Bullock said. "She really has no fear, athletically, in her voice, in telling somebody what she thinks. As hard as it is on me as a parent, if this is who she's going to go out into the world and be, she's on the right path."

Bullock said she is equally in awe of her son Louis, whose judgment she often relies on.
"He knows everything. He sees everything. He knows things that I don't even know," she said. "I find myself in situations, and I go, 'What would Louis do right now?' because his judgment is so spot on."
"He's one of the sagest people. I look at him, and I go, 'There's proof in reincarnation.' Whatever he was before he got here was an evolved, beautiful soul. And he's been that way since they put him in my arms," Bullock said.
