Russia reduced parallel import volume by 23 percent year-on-year to $10.6 billion in January through June 2026, Deputy Industry Minister Roman Chekushov said.

Chekushov, whose statement was reported by Interfax, specified that officials do not plan to alter the list of approved parallel import goods. He said the list will remain in the form last edited when it entered into force in May.
Monthly Import Trends
A significant reduction in parallel imports has occurred since the beginning of the year. Following January results, Chekushov reported that monthly deliveries without rights holder consent dropped to a historic low of $1 billion. That monthly volume was half the average recorded in 2025 and a quarter of the levels seen in late 2022 and early 2023.
Separately, luxury goods turnover in Russia grew 65 percent in the first half of the year, while order numbers more than doubled. Authors of a joint study by Tochka Bank and CDEK.Shopping found that luxury brands including Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Balenciaga became more accessible to citizens.
