Rogbid has unveiled the SpinR, a rugged smartwatch priced at $50 that features an unusual mechanical scroll wheel on its side panel for navigating menus and settings.
The scroll wheel works on the same principle as optical scroll wheels found on computer mice, with a sensor detecting movement and converting it into control commands.
The SpinR has a 51mm case that is 13.4mm thick, with a 1.7-inch display running at 360 by 360 pixels. Internal storage stands at 128MB, heart rate monitoring is handled by an HX3918 optical sensor, and the watch connects to smartphones via Bluetooth 5.4. There is no built-in GPS.
The 1,100mAh battery is rated by Rogbid for up to 100 days of standby use. The case carries an IPX8 water resistance rating.
