Xiaomi President Lu Weibing has disclosed new details about the upcoming Redmi K100 Pro Max ahead of its August 11 announcement, saying the device will prioritize maximum performance.
The phone will feature Xiaomi’s first-ever 185Hz gaming OLED display, which will support more than 30 popular games at up to 185 frames per second. Frame-rate boosting and image-scaling technologies will be able to run simultaneously, according to Lu.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, built on a second-generation 3nm process, paired with Xiaomi’s proprietary D2 AI chip for graphics processing. Lu said the phone scores around 4.56 million points in AnTuTu, which he described as the best result among devices on that platform.
Additional features include a 480Hz touch-sampling rate, a dedicated antenna for reducing latency in online games, and a Sound by Bose audio system tuned to amplify footsteps and gunfire in games.
Pre-orders are already open ahead of the evening launch on August 11.
