An intruder broke into the Hollywood Hills mansion of film director Quentin Tarantino on Wednesday, September 9, while occupants were inside the home.
Police officers arrived at the scene just minutes after receiving an emergency call, according to entertainment news site TMZ, but the suspect had already fled before law enforcement reached the property.
Authorities from the Los Angeles Police Department are actively investigating the break-in. Officials have not yet determined whether any valuable items were stolen during the entry, and it remains unknown whether the 63-year-old filmmaker was present inside the house when the burglary occurred.

During that 2018 incident, Tarantino personally confronted the two intruders and forced them to flee the scene before they could escape with further property.
Earlier, in November 2015, the director contacted the Los Angeles Police Department after noticing an unfamiliar man wandering in his backyard. Responding officers located and questioned the man on the premises, though he was ultimately released without charge and left the area.
