Writing in a statement published on Instagram, Zueva revealed that she filed a formal lawsuit in April 2026 after months of out-of-court negotiations broke down. She explained that private attempts to reach an amicable financial agreement regarding the child had been underway since October 2025, but those efforts ultimately proved unsuccessful.

Her public statement followed a preliminary court hearing held a day earlier, during which legal representatives for both parties engaged in preliminary discussions. Zueva stated that Kozlovsky, who holds the official title of Honoured Artist of Russia, has not paid a single kopeck towards the upbringing and maintenance of their daughter.

The actress stressed that her legal claim does not ask for anything beyond what her child is legally entitled to receive. She stated that she is seeking only what is prescribed for her daughter under the laws of the Russian Federation, which is why the dispute must now be resolved through the courts.

Relationship history and career background

Zueva and Kozlovsky welcomed their daughter in February 2020. The couple ended their relationship shortly after the child was born, ending a high-profile romantic partnership that had attracted significant attention in the domestic film industry.

Kozlovsky is one of Russia's most prominent screen and stage actors, recognized with the title of Honoured Artist of Russia for his contributions to cinema and theatre. He is best known for starring roles in blockbuster films such as Soulless and Viking, as well as his work in international productions, including the historical drama series Vikings. Zueva is a Russian actress, model, and film director who made her feature directorial debut with the 2018 crime drama In the Hood, a project in which Kozlovsky also starred.

Recent personal developments

The child support proceedings follow other recent developments in Kozlovsky's personal life. In May 2026, it was revealed that Kozlovsky had welcomed a son with actress Oksana Akinshina, a prominent Russian performer known for her roles in films such as Sisters and Sputnik.

With pre-trial talks having concluded without a settlement, the child support case between Zueva and Kozlovsky remains before the court for further legal proceedings.
