Novexpert Launches Natural Skincare in Dominican Republic

Novexpert, a French dermocosmetic brand, has officially launched in the Dominican Republic with a new line of skincare products made from 100% natural ingredients. The brand introduced its offerings during an exclusive dinner at the Aloft Marriott hotel in Santo Domingo, which brought together professionals and representatives from the country's skin care industry. The hotel is part of Marriott International's Aloft brand.

Organizers said Novexpert is a dermocosmetic firm built around naturally derived formulas, concentrated active ingredients and efficacy backed by clinical studies. Dermocosmetics, sometimes called cosmeceuticals, are skincare products developed with input from dermatologists that sit between conventional cosmetics and pharmaceutical treatments. Novexpert's products are designed to meet a range of skin needs, including hydration, luminosity, firmness and the care of combination or oily skin.

Product line and local distribution

The brand's portfolio includes hyaluronic acid serums and vitamin C serums, along with solutions aimed at skin affected by imperfections. Hyaluronic acid is widely used in skincare for its ability to draw moisture into the skin, while vitamin C is commonly included in serums for its brightening properties. All of Novexpert's products are hypoallergenic and vegan, meaning they contain no animal-derived ingredients, and the company says they can be used by pregnant women.

Novexpert will be represented in the Dominican Republic by Gencasa, as part of the brand's broader push to bring internationally recognized, specialized skin care products to the Dominican market.

Specialists address skin care needs

The launch dinner also drew specialists in skin health.

Dermatologist Dayhana Santiago told attendees that, regardless of which products a person uses, skin care should always start with that individual's specific needs. She recommended that anyone facing persistent acne, irritation or spots consult a specialist for proper guidance rather than relying on products alone.

The story behind Novexpert

Marie Avril, Novexpert's Director of Scientific Communication and Training, walked guests through the brand's history, values and philosophy in an interactive presentation that involved the audience throughout.

Avril said Novexpert was founded in 2008 by Cyril, who continues to lead the company today alongside a team of medical specialists. According to Avril, the idea for the brand took shape while Cyril was working in a cosmetic formulation laboratory that produced products for other well-known brands, including Johnson & Johnson, the American multinational known for its consumer health and personal care products, alongside a group of medical experts specializing in cosmetic and dermatological formulas.

It was in that setting that the question which came to define the brand's philosophy first arose: how many cosmetic ingredients does a woman apply to her skin every day? Staying true to the interactive spirit of the presentation, Avril put the same question to the guests, inviting them to think not about how many products, but how many individual ingredients, make up their daily facial and body care routines.
