NexTouch launches interactive all-in-one PCs in Russia

Russian electronics manufacturer NexTouch has begun serial production of interactive all-in-one computers built with domestically produced liquid crystal display modules.

The company, based at the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone, previously relied entirely on foreign suppliers for the liquid crystal display components used in its interactive hardware.

Vladimir Krikushenko, the head of NexTouch, said domestic manufacturing of the screen modules would reduce dependence on imports, shorten delivery timelines, and cut overall production costs for local industry.

Krikushenko noted that Russian equipment makers had previously been fully reliant on overseas shipments for such displays. He added that mass producing these LCD components domestically will enable their use in other electronic devices where screens are a central element.

Technopolis Moscow is a dedicated special economic zone established to foster technology development, microelectronics, and domestic manufacturing in Russia. All-in-one personal computers, often called monoblocks, combine the computer hardware and monitor screen inside a single enclosure.

Domestic Display Technology

The new NexTouch machines integrate a computer system and a large touchscreen inside one housing. They are designed for deployment in corporate offices, schools, healthcare institutions, industrial plants, government agencies, and critical information infrastructure facilities.

Critical information infrastructure generally refers to essential data networks and IT systems supporting key sectors like transport, energy, and public administration. Domestic hardware production is intended to secure equipment used across these sensitive environments.

Artificial Intelligence Integration

A key feature of the new desktop line is an optional contactless control system. The machines can be fitted with artificial intelligence algorithms that allow users to interact with the device without physically touching the screen.

NexTouch has not yet disclosed technical specifications, planned production volumes, or retail pricing for the new all-in-one computers. Details explaining how the contactless artificial intelligence technology operates also remain undisclosed. The commercial launch was reported by Russian tech news outlet CNews.
