Moscow Region and seven other Russian oblasts declared a missile danger alert, according to emergency services on Aug. 8.

The regional branch of the Unified State System for Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations posted the warning for Moscow Region on the Max messaging app. The agency advised residents to remain indoors, keep away from windows, and move into buildings, underground passages, or parking garages if outdoors or in vehicles. It added that mobile internet disruptions were possible.

Affected Oblasts and Prior Attacks

Missile alerts were also declared in Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, and Tula oblasts.

Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to attack Crimea with drones between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Moscow time.
