Dominican fashion designer Michelle Reynoso has opened a new fashion space, Michelle Reynoso Studio, in Santo Domingo to unite her custom tailoring and handcrafted collections.

The new location marks a fresh phase for the fashion label by bringing together its design portfolio, bespoke tailoring, and artisanal craftsmanship under one roof in the Dominican capital.

Conceived as an interactive environment for clients, the venue allows visitors to experience the brand universe beyond selecting a garment. The studio incorporates every stage of the creative process, from initial material selection and design conception to garment construction and hand finished detailing.

Creative process and custom collections

Michelle Reynoso Studio houses the firm's current collections alongside a curated selection of bridal gowns and evening party dresses created for special occasions. The space also maintains dedicated facilities to develop fully customized pieces tailored to client specifications.

According to the brand, the design proposal is created for contemporary women who value design quality, craftsmanship, and garments with distinct personality.

Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic, serves as the primary epicenter for the nation's fashion industry and luxury retail sector. High end ateliers in the city frequently specialize in custom evening wear and bridal tailoring for both domestic and international markets.

The studio launch follows more than a decade of professional activity for Reynoso, during which she built a brand centered on Dominican design, garment construction, and meticulous attention to detail.

Reynoso said that after building the label for more than ten years, she felt the time had arrived to establish a physical space that genuinely reflected the current identity of the firm and its future direction. She explained that she did not want a traditional store where clothes were merely displayed on racks, but an environment where clients could step inside and experience the full universe of the brand.

The designer noted that more than simply opening a retail store, the launch represented a new chapter in her career as both a fashion designer and an entrepreneur.

Brand evolution and client experience

The new venue reaffirms Reynoso's commitment to Dominican design and creative talent while positioning the firm for future growth through identity, evolution, and close relationships with her clientele.

Reynoso said that fashion brands naturally evolve, reinvent themselves, and enter new phases without losing their fundamental essence. She concluded that the new studio serves as a reaffirmation of the identity of the brand while providing a foundation for everything the firm plans to build in the future.
