Meizu brand Pandaer has launched the PTC16 compact charger featuring 80W power output, gallium nitride components, and three USB-C ports in a chassis measuring 13.9 mm thick.
The adapter measures 85.5 x 50 x 13.9 mm and weighs 99 grams. Its main USB-C port outputs up to 80W using proprietary Meizu mCharge technology, while third-party devices receive up to 65W via USB Power Delivery 3.0 and PPS. The other two USB-C ports also support up to 65W each, allowing the unit to power laptops as well as smartphones and tablets.
When charging two devices simultaneously, power is distributed in 45W plus 20W or 45W plus 15W split options depending on the ports used. Occupying all three ports caps the main USB-C output at 45W and limits the remaining two ports to 15W each.
The Pandaer PTC16 supports Meizu mCharge, USB PD 3.0, PPS, AVS, Huawei FCP and SCP, and Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ protocols. It is currently available in the official brand store on TMall for 229 yuan, or about 32 dollars, with promotional coupons reducing the price to 149 yuan, or roughly 21 dollars.
