Popular Russian blogger Mash Milash, real name Maria Kamova, received an unexpected compliment from television presenter Andrey Malakhov when the two met on a passenger flight. The encounter took place while both public figures were traveling on an aircraft bound for the northern city of Apatity.
Milash recounted the story of their meeting during an interview reported by the online outlet Super. She explained that she had boarded the airplane, walked to her assigned seat, and discovered that Malakhov was seated directly beside her for the flight.
The blogger noted that she was sleep-deprived on the day of the trip. Wanting to avoid drawing attention to herself, she put on sunglasses and pulled up a hood before taking her seat in an effort to stay unnoticed by fellow passengers.
Despite her attempts to remain hidden, Malakhov recognized her immediately and chose to initiate the conversation himself. Milash said the television host greeted her by name and told her that she looked even better in real life than she did online.

The encounter between the two personalities follows earlier media reports concerning financial issues associated with the television host. Previous reports indicated that Malakhov had accumulated several million rubles in unpaid debt to the Russian federal tax service.
Those tax liabilities were identified at Izovela, a commercial company owned by the broadcaster. The business owns and operates a wellness sanatorium facility in the Murmansk region, where Malakhov has maintained business interests alongside his television broadcasting career.
