Following the concert, Richie went voluntarily to a local hospital in the area to undergo a series of medical evaluations and was subsequently admitted to the intensive care unit.

Concern among audience members began during his performance of All Night Long, one of the most famous hits in his musical repertoire.
According to reports published after the concert, Richie experienced difficulty remaining standing on stage and requested a chair so that he could finish the show. Videos recorded by concertgoers showed the musician seated for part of the song before he completed the performance and left the stage.
Reports from entertainment news outlet TMZ, which were also picked up by People magazine and Entertainment Weekly, stated that Richie entered the hospital as a precautionary measure to undergo tests. Sources cited by the outlets indicated that doctors were evaluating possible dehydration, although neither Richie nor his representatives have officially confirmed that detail.
