Greek actress Katerina Geronikolou has spoken publicly about her professional relationship with her romantic partner, fellow actor Giannis Tsimitselis, describing their work together as among her most successful collaborations.
Speaking in an interview on the morning television show Happy Day, Geronikolou explained that despite receiving numerous joint offers, the pair turn down the vast majority of opportunities to work together on stage or screen.

She said that out of all the professional proposals producers have submitted to them over time, they have likely accepted only about one tenth of them.
Geronikolou emphasized that she never tires of working alongside Tsimitselis, but noted that both actors must feel passionate about a project before agreeing to sign on.
For the couple to say yes to a joint project, she explained that both her own role and Tsimitselis's role must appear exceptionally interesting and worthy of devoting their time and energy.
Criteria for Taking Stage Roles Together
The couple, who starred together during the summer in the theatrical production Tou Agoriou Apenanti, are now preparing to share the stage once again this season in a new comedy titled Pagovouno.
Geronikolou expressed strong confidence in the upcoming production, noting that the play represents a rare quality comedy that both performers strongly believe in.
Addressing her broader career philosophy, the actress explained that her primary goal in any acting partnership is to ensure that both she and the audience have an enjoyable experience.
She stressed that Tsimitselis firmly belongs in the category of good professional collaborators, though she clarified that simply having fun is not her sole motivation when accepting a role.
Philosophy on Acting and Audiences
Geronikolou noted that she does not belong to the group of artists whose main objective is merely to enjoy themselves, adding that she harbors neither sadistic nor masochistic tendencies toward herself.
While she naturally desires a positive working environment, she emphasized her commitment to selecting theatrical projects that she believes the public genuinely needs at any given moment.
Geronikolou and Tsimitselis are prominent figures in modern Greek theatre and television, having established individual acting careers alongside their long-standing personal relationship.
The couple frequently share milestones from their relationship with fans, including celebrating Geronikolou's birthday on September 2 with photos from their summer holiday.
Earlier in the summer, on July 28, Geronikolou marked Tsimitselis's birthday with a public tribute on social media, fondly referring to her partner as her captain.
