Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned that Iran will respond to any aggressive action by the United States or Israel, according to a post he published on Telegram.
Araghchi made the statements after separate phone calls with his Turkish counterpart, the Saudi Arabian foreign minister, and the Pakistani army chief.
In his Telegram post, Araghchi said Tehran is ready to respond decisively to any aggressive action. He added that any participation by regional countries in such an action would also be met with a decisive and proportionate response.
Turkey Pledges Continued Mediation Efforts
Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan spoke by phone with Araghchi. Fidan said the main topic of the call was the latest developments in negotiations concerning de-escalation and the end of hostilities in the region.
In a post on his personal account on X, Fidan said Turkey would continue its efforts to end conflicts in the region and establish lasting peace.
