The Illinois Department of Human Services noted that using the Find Food Illinois online map is one of the easiest ways to locate distribution points, food pantries, and sites offering free meals in local communities. Additionally, Feeding Illinois, the state association affiliated with Feeding America, coordinates the operations of seven regional food banks distributing aid across dozens of counties.

Central Illinois Foodbank provides food assistance to residents in Adams, Bond, Brown, Cass, Christian, Effingham, Fayette, Greene, Jefferson, Logan, Macon, Macoupin, Marion, Menard, Montgomery, Morgan, Pike, Sangamon, Schuyler, Scott, and Shelby counties.
Eastern Illinois Foodbank serves communities across Champaign, Clark, Clay, Coles, Crawford, Cumberland, DeWitt, Douglas, Edgar, Ford, Iroquois, Jasper, Livingston, Mason, McLean, Moultrie, Peoria, Piatt, Tazewell, Vermilion, and Woodford counties.
