Greek Nurseries and KDAP Centers Open 2026-27 Registration

Registration for children and people with disabilities at nurseries and Centers for Creative Activities for Children (KDAP) funded through Greece's ESPA program opens on Monday, August 24, 2026, the Hellenic Company for Local Development and Local Government (EETAA) announced.

According to EETAA, families who received a voucher can now formally enroll their children at the facility they have chosen, whether a standard nursery, a KDAP center or a KDAP center for people with disabilities (KDAP AmeA). The enrollment window covers the 2026-2027 period of the "Preschool Education and Creative Activities for Children" program.

How the enrollment process works

EETAA said beneficiaries must submit their voucher along with the required supporting documents to the facility they selected. The voucher has to be presented in the format issued by the EETAA online platform, which is usually a PDF file.

Once the documents have been submitted, the child's legal representative signs a standardized contract with the provider, which can be a municipality or a social organization. EETAA said electronic authorization through the beneficiaries' application is also typically required to activate the contract.

What happens to unfilled places

Where vacancies remain at a facility, EETAA said providers will fill the places according to applicants' ranking on the program's scoring list, including applications that were submitted after the original deadline.

About the ESPA program

The "Preschool Education and Creative Activities for Children" scheme is funded through Greece's National Strategic Reference Framework, known as ESPA, the country's main channel for European Union structural funds. EETAA, the body overseeing the program, coordinates support for local authorities and manages the voucher system that allows eligible families to access subsidized childcare places at nurseries and KDAP centers across the country each year.

Contact details for families and providers

EETAA published three email addresses for parties involved in the program. Legal representatives of children, meaning parents or guardians, can reach the organization at [email protected]. Providers such as nurseries and KDAP centers seeking technical support can use [email protected]. Complaints related to the program can be sent to [email protected].
