Greek Foreign Minister Georgios Gerapetritis spoke by phone on August 10, 2026 with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty. According to a post by the Greek Foreign Ministry on the platform X, the two ministers exchanged views on recent developments in the wider Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean.

The ministers also assessed progress made under the Greece-Egypt Strategic Partnership and agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, the ministry said.

Stability And Coordination
Gerapetritis and Abdelatty stressed the role of Greece and Egypt as pillars of stability in the region. They reaffirmed their shared positions on major regional issues and their commitment to close coordination to promote regional security and peace, according to the ministry.
