Greek social security institution e-EFKA and the Public Employment Service (DYPA) will pay out a total of €88,816,664.80 to 116,143 beneficiaries between August 31 and September 4, 2026, according to an official statement.
The planned disbursements cover scheduled payments for pension advances, unemployment benefits, subsidized maternity leave, employment schemes, lump-sum allowances, and social security contribution refunds.
e-EFKA Payment Breakdown
According to the official announcement, e-EFKA will begin payouts on August 31 with €2,556,664.80 distributed to 6,993 beneficiaries. This sum covers advance payments for September 2026 pensions issued under Law 4778/2021.
On September 3, the social security fund will disburse €260,000 to 350 recipients of extra-institutional benefits under TAYTEKO, the insurance fund for public utility and bank employees. On the same day, e-EFKA will pay €8,500,000 to 5,500 non-salaried workers for the refund of social security contributions.
On September 4, e-EFKA will distribute €11,500,000 to 21,500 beneficiaries for routine benefits, including maternity allowances, funeral expenses, and sickness or accident benefits. Additionally, between August 31 and September 4, €17,000,000 will be paid to 800 beneficiaries following the issuance of decisions on lump-sum pension payouts.
DYPA Employment and Unemployment Benefits
Greece's Public Employment Service, DYPA, will disburse €49,000,000 to 81,000 beneficiaries across three major funding categories over the same five-day window.
The largest allocation from DYPA consists of €28,000,000 to be paid to 46,000 individuals receiving unemployment benefits and related financial allowances. A further €2,000,000 will be distributed to 17,000 mothers receiving subsidized maternity leave benefits.
DYPA will also distribute €19,000,000 to 18,000 beneficiaries participating in subsidized job placement and employment programs.

e-EFKA serves as Greece's primary public social security agency, managing national pensions, healthcare benefits, and lump-sum distributions for workers and retirees in the public and private sectors.
DYPA, previously known as OAED, functions as the national employment agency tasked with administering unemployment insurance, workplace training initiatives, and job creation subsidies throughout Greece.
