Geely is preparing to launch a sports sedan called the Preface TCR, which has appeared in new regulatory filings in China. Documents published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reveal the car's design, dimensions, and engine specifications.
The sedan features an uprated 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 290 horsepower and reaches a top speed of 220 km/h. The current 2026 Chinese model Preface produces 272 horsepower from a 2.0-liter engine, giving the TCR version an 18-horsepower increase.

Sporty exterior design
The Preface TCR gets black exterior trim, including a redesigned front grille, a prominent splitter, side skirts, mirror covers, and a fixed rear wing. Red brake calipers complete the styling updates.
The body measures 4,825 mm long, 1,910 mm wide, and 1,460 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. Compared to the standard model, the TCR version is slightly wider and 9 mm lower, giving it a lower visual stance. Buyers can choose 19-inch wheels fitted with either 245/35 R19 or wider 255/35 R19 tires.

The TCR name references the international Touring Car Racing motorsport category. Certification documents do not list the transmission type or 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time. Geely is completing the required catalog publication process with Chinese regulators, but the company has not yet announced launch dates, trim details, or pricing.
