Geely will launch its new Galaxy Battleship 700 flagship plug-in hybrid SUV in China on October 10.
The Chinese automaker opened pre-orders for six trim levels priced from 200,000 yuan to 390,000 yuan, equivalent to between 2.5 million and 4.9 million Russian rubles. Geely reported securing more than 10,000 pre-orders within the first nine minutes, with bookings reaching 43,900 inside an hour. The company stated that retail prices, which will be announced at launch, are likely to be lower than the pre-sale figures.

Powertrain and performance specifications
The Galaxy Battleship 700 is a large all-wheel-drive vehicle featuring a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The top-spec edition combines a 2.0-litre internal combustion engine with three electric motors to generate a total output of 1,129 horsepower. That variant accelerates from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in 3.95 seconds. More affordable entry-level models use a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, while a differential lock comes included on even the base trim.
Every version of the SUV comes equipped with a 47.14 kilowatt-hour lithium iron phosphate battery supplied by CATL, China's largest EV battery manufacturer. Geely lists the maximum combined driving range at 1,770 kilometres. Lithium iron phosphate batteries are widely used in modern electric and hybrid vehicles for their long lifespan and high thermal stability.
Chassis technology and off-road design
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5,085 millimetres long, 1,999 millimetres wide, and features a wheelbase of 2,900 millimetres. The design emphasizes off-road capability, offering a minimum ground clearance of 233 millimetres along with approach and departure angles of 30 and 31 degrees respectively.
Underneath, the vehicle incorporates hydraulic suspension alongside electronically controlled continuous damping shock absorbers. Geely said an artificial intelligence system monitors and adjusts the suspension to lessen collision consequences and adapt to varied road surface conditions. Advanced driver assistance features rely on a lidar sensor mounted on the roof.
Interior amenities include an 18.5-litre refrigerator, seats offering 14-point massage functions, and a panoramic glass roof. The exterior styling follows classic off-road conventions with an angular body shape, side-opening rear tailgate, and an externally mounted spare tyre. Geely has also prepared more than 100 factory off-road accessories.
Market context and availability
Geely launched the Galaxy sub-brand to market its expanding range of new energy vehicles, including hybrid and electric models. Official sales and retail deliveries for the flagship Galaxy Battleship 700 will begin when final pricing details are released on October 10.
