The mother and sister of Aristotelis, a Greek Bell helicopter pilot killed in a crash in the Psatha area, have instructed their lawyer to pursue legal action over his death, according to a press release from attorney Vaso Pantazi.
Pantazi said the family had ordered her law office to take all necessary legal steps before the Athens Misdemeanors Prosecutor, through the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, to establish the exact circumstances that led to the unexpected death of their son and brother, Aristotelis, and to see those responsible punished.
Legal Action Planned
Pantazi said that within hours the family would file to join the criminal case as civil claimants against anyone whose act or omission contributed to the killing of one of Greece's most valiant pilots, who she said had sacrificed himself in the days before while fighting to save lives and property. The helicopter had been operating in the area of Porto Germeno. The report was sourced to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency.
