Cusco: finalized technical file of the water and sanitation project for Chinchero

The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) reported that the technical file for the first stage of the water and sanitation project for the district of Chinchero, Urubamba province, which will benefit more than 10,600 inhabitants.

“The technical file has already been completed. We are now in a process of approval of the technical file in charge of the National Urban Sanitation Program, by issuing a directorial resolution, “said the Vice Minister of Construction and Sanitation, Javier Hernández, during a technical meeting held in the Cusco region.

According to the MCVS, the technical file would be approved in November, and the call for tenders is expected to start in December said project that is valued at more than 40 million soles.

Behind the award of the project, in May of next year the contract to carry out this important work will be signed.

It is important to mention that this project will be carried out in two stages. In the first, the drinking water and sewerage systems in the town of Chinchero will be improved and expanded. And in the second stage, a wastewater treatment plant will be implemented (Star).

Vice Minister Javier Hernández also indicated that resources have been allocated for the year 2022 and 2023 so that this work can be carried out. In addition, he noted that A committee will be formed so that the authorities and residents of Chinchero are aware of the progress of the project.

The district mayor of Chinchero, Héctor Cusicuna; the provincial mayor of Urubamba, Luis Valcárcel; and officials from the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
