The increase in international hiring in Latin America opens up a growth possibility for companies, which find talent in other markets to continue developing their businesses, as well as for professionals, who can access jobs in global companies without leaving their countries of origin.
In Peru, systems engineers and senior project managers are the profiles most in demand by international companies and can aspire to an average salary of between US$120,000 and US$121,900 per year, respectively, working remotely. This is reported by Deel, the international talent hiring and payment solution, through the data provided by its new Salary Insights tool.
When it comes to junior positions, systems engineers who work for foreign companies have access to payments of up to US$47,400, while project managers of up to US$54,400 per year.
Another of the most demanded positions —according to the contracts made through Deel, in which foreign companies hire people in Peru— is that of product designer. Then, Salaries range from $14,500 to $143,800 a year, depending on experience level.
When companies need to hire a professional in another country—either full-time or on a freelance basis—for a role they’ve never hired before, they may be unfamiliar with the local job market and prevailing average salaries.
“To reach a successful negotiation, it is necessary to have information on the trends and conditions of each market. Although Latin America has certain characteristics in common as a region, each country has its particularities and it is important that the Human Resources teams know them to ensure that they are offering a competitive offer”, says Natalia Jiménez, head of expansion for Cono Sur de Deel .
