Greek property developer Dimand has completed the sale of its Gournes MAE subsidiary to luxury resort group Sani Ikos in Crete.
Dimand announced on November 6, 2026, that its wholly owned subsidiary Arcela Investments Limited completed the transfer of all shares in Gournes MAE to IKOS LUXCO S.A.R.L., an entity belonging to the Sani and Ikos group.
The transaction involves a large property in Gournes, located within the Heraklion regional unit on the Greek island of Crete. The agreement confirms reporting by the Dark Room commentary column, which stated that the sale is reportedly the largest transaction ever completed in the Greek hospitality sector.

Hospitality transaction details
Dimand stated in its corporate announcement that the sale of its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, officially named Gournes Single Member S.A., was finalised through Arcela Investments Limited. Greek financial news website Newmoney also carried details of the corporate filing.
Dimand said the agreement confirms the continuing momentum of Greek tourism, particularly for frontline investments in top travel destinations across the country.
Under Greek corporate regulations, the M.A.E. designation identifies Gournes Single Member S.A. as a sole shareholder joint stock company. Dimand held its interest in the company through Arcela Investments Limited before selling the entire equity package to IKOS LUXCO S.A.R.L., which is registered in Luxembourg.
Tourism investment in Crete
The property is situated in Gournes, a coastal settlement located east of Heraklion on the northern shore of Crete. Heraklion is the administrative capital of Crete, while the island itself is Greece's largest island and one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean.
The region attracts millions of holidaymakers annually, supported by international airport links and ferry routes connecting the island to mainland Greece and international hubs. The island has experienced steady growth in high end tourism infrastructure as operators seek prime locations for luxury resort facilities.
