Former Greek footballer Aris Soiledis has proposed to his partner Marilina Kyparissi during a romantic seaside setup on the island of Lemnos.
The couple revealed the engagement in a joint video shared on Instagram, documenting the moment Soiledis surprised Kyparissi by the water.
In the video footage, Kyparissi is shown walking toward the beach wearing a blindfold, unaware of the surprise Soiledis had arranged for her arrival.
When her blindfold was removed, she found Soiledis waiting near the water holding a bouquet of flowers and an engagement ring box.
The seaside location was decorated for the occasion with white balloons and a lighted sign displaying the words "Will you marry me?". Soiledis dropped to one knee to present the solitaire ring, and the couple embraced and kissed after she accepted.

Along with the video footage of the proposal, Soiledis and Kyparissi posted a shared statement reflecting on their commitment and relationship.
In their message, the couple wrote that choosing a partner to build a family with is one of the most significant decisions in life. They expressed that finding the right person brings an immediate feeling of safety, home, and mutual recognition rather than simple affection.
They described the marriage proposal as a promise and an affirmation to move forward together through everything the future holds. They noted that the celebration took place in Kyparissi's favorite location on her home island surrounded by close friends and family.
The couple concluded their post by stating that if asked again, they would choose each other without hesitation every single day.

Soiledis is a former professional soccer player who played as a defender for several prominent Greek clubs, including AEK Athens and Olympiacos, during his athletic career in Greece.
He later gained broader public recognition after appearing as a contestant on the reality competition show Survivor Greece, where he competed in the series' physical challenges.
