A wealthy couple from Russia's Rostov region ended up in court dividing everything from a sleep mask to old pots after their divorce, according to Rostov news outlet KP-Rostov.
The outlet reported that the couple's marriage began well, with both spouses working hard and building up substantial wealth together. They accumulated millions of rubles in bank accounts, bought five prestige foreign cars, and acquired real estate in both Rostov-on-Don and Moscow.
What was divided in court
The property list included apartments, cars, commercial real estate and antiques, among them a collectible rifle valued at 16,000 euros, or about 1.4 million rubles. The judge also had to divide cheaper items, including kitchenware, towels, old pots, pillows, a blanket and a sleep mask.
The couple could not split their jointly acquired property evenly. The court ordered the man to pay his ex-wife 15 million rubles in compensation.
