A grass fire broke out late Wednesday in the Aivaliotika area of Volos, located above the ancient theatre of Demetrias.
A total of 32 firefighters responded to the scene, operating with nine vehicles and two foot units to combat the flames.
Fire containment
Emergency crews successfully contained the fire shortly before midnight.
Officials reported that no residential areas were threatened during the incident.
