Vivo launches $20 Vivo Buds featuring Bluetooth 6.1

Technology manufacturer Vivo has launched the 2026 version of its Vivo Buds true wireless earphones, bringing updated connectivity and extended battery life to budget-conscious consumers for $20.

The new true wireless earphones are built around 10-millimetre high-resolution dynamic drivers designed to deliver sound clarity across audio frequencies. The device features built-in DeepX 4.0 sound effects and includes a 10-band equalizer setting to allow users to customize their listening profiles.

When connected to Vivo and iQOO smartphones, the earbuds unlock additional audio customization options. Users can activate spatial audio, theater mode, and concert mode directly through compatible handsets to create a more immersive listening experience.

The device also supports a dedicated low-latency mode of 42 milliseconds when paired with Vivo and iQOO devices. Low-latency modes reduce the delay between visual actions on a mobile screen and corresponding audio signals, making the feature particularly relevant for mobile gaming and video streaming.

Noise cancellation and dual device connectivity

For voice calls, each earbud is equipped with dual microphones. The system uses artificial intelligence to isolate speech and reduce ambient background noise during phone calls. In addition, the physical outer housing of the earbuds incorporates an aerodynamic design created specifically to minimize wind noise during outdoor use.

Wireless connectivity is powered by Bluetooth 6.1 technology, an updated short-range wireless standard designed for improved connection stability and power efficiency. The Vivo Buds support simultaneous dual-device pairing, allowing users to connect to two source devices at the same time and switch seamlessly between them.

Software features include support for Google Fast Pair, an Android utility that enables quick one-touch pairing with compatible devices. The earphones also integrate with the Find My Vivo Buds location service to help users track missing earbuds, and offer a remote shutter control function that allows users to trigger a smartphone camera remotely.

Battery performance and local market pricing

Battery performance provides up to 12 hours of continuous listening on a single charge. When recharged using the included carrying case, total operational battery life reaches up to 50 hours. A quick-charge feature delivers four hours of talk time from a 10-minute charge.

Vivo, headquartered in Dongguan, China, is one of the world's major smartphone manufacturers, producing consumer electronics under its main brand as well as its performance-oriented sub-brand iQOO. The launch of the 2026 Vivo Buds comes as tech companies continue to expand their wireless audio lineups with high-spec features at accessible price points.

The 2026 Vivo Buds carry an international launch price of $20. In Turkey, the previous generation of the Vivo Buds remains available in retail channels for approximately 1,800 Turkish liras.
