Ukrainian drone maker F-Drones has delivered 2,000 F10 drones to the United States military and unveiled a new interceptor called Litavr, designed to destroy enemy strike and reconnaissance unmanned aircraft.
The Litavr operates without GPS, making it effective even when adversaries are actively jamming signals, according to F-Drones. The drone can reach speeds of up to 350 km/h and, in the final stage of flight, locks onto its target autonomously using the company’s proprietary software system, called Larag. The system architecture also allows the drone to be controlled remotely over the internet from anywhere in the world.
Developers said the next phase will enable Litavr to intercept aerial targets with full autonomy. That capability is already being tested with Ukrainian military units, the company said.
On the F10, F-Drones said the aircraft is the first Ukrainian drone to receive official export clearance to the United States. The company also said the F10 ranked among the leaders in the first phase of the Pentagon’s Drone Dominance program, carried out in cooperation with UDD Tech Corp.
