Trained horses spotted walking outside windows in the Novye Vatutinki district of Moscow's Troitsky and Novomoskovsky Administrative Okrug escaped from their summer plot, news outlet Pod'yom reported. The owner of the animals, Nikolay, urged local residents not to fear the horses, which were purchased for an equestrian show.
According to Nikolay, the horses live in a rented stable in winter and on a fenced outdoor plot in summer because enclosed spaces get too hot. However, a public footway passes through the summer property, and Nikolay complained that passersby often break the fence, causing the horses to run away.
Enclosure breaks and authority threats
He told the outlet that the horses are not released on purpose. Nikolay said people in the 21st century are afraid of animals, but described the horses as kind, great, and created to be hugged and kissed. He added that authorities are threatening to take the horses away because conditions for keeping them are lacking. A video of the horses walking in Novaya Moskva previously circulated online.
