219 minors have died in the war in Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Prosecutor’s Office


The highest number of victims has been recorded in the Donetsk region, where 139 children have died. It is followed by kyiv and Kharkov, the largest cities in the country. In addition, since the Russian invasion began on February 24, 398 minors have been injured.

The Russian invasion has claimed the lives of 219 children, as reported by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office. The highest number of victims have been recorded in the Donetsk region and in kyiv, with 139 and 115 deaths, respectively..

In the Kharkov region, which is home to the country’s second largest city, 95 deaths have been recorded. It is followed by the Chernigov region (68), Kherson (44) and Mikolaiv (43).

Furthermore, since the Russian invasion began on February 24, 398 minors have been injured, and Russian forces have damaged 1,570 educational institutionsof which 111 have been completely destroyed.

The general prosecutor’s office has indicated that these figures are not definitive, because they continue to work in the areas where most of the Russian offensive is taking place, especially in the Donetsk region.
