Universal Park in Orlando opens Dreamworks Land

The theme park Universal in Orlando (Florida) opened this Friday Dreamworks Land, inspired by animated characters Shrek, Trolls and Kung Fu Panda.

It is a space that facilitates encounters with DreamWorks Animation characters, interactive play areas and a live show inspired by them.

Visitors can explore Shrek’s swamp, try themed food like Shrekzels (pretzels in the shape of the famous ogre) and Poppy-licious Pink and BroZone Berry ice creams, ride the Trolls Trollercoaster, learn kung fu moves with Po in Panda Village, and meet and take photos with characters like Shrek, Donkey, Poppy, Branch, Puss in Boots, Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse and more.

The attraction includes a multi-sensory live show that combines pop songs, lots of dancing and advanced technology to recreate DreamWorks stories.

Likewise, the park inaugurated this Friday at Orlando Resort the new nighttime show in the Universal lagoon, CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular, and the Hogwarts Always show, a projection in the castle of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter-Hogsmeade.

The first is a cinematic journey in the heart of Universal Studios Florida’s lagoon and with special effects, featuring soundtracks from the films that have inspired Universal Orlando’s past, present and future attractions.

The show includes 228 fountains reaching heights of up to 40 meters, 4K projection mapping, an original composition with elaborate scores for each scene, and more than 600 drones.

It covers movies like Harry Potter, Jurassic World, Jaws, Minions and more.

Hogwarts Always, meanwhile, is a screening that takes visitors on a journey through iconic moments from a school year at Hogwarts.

Set against the backdrop of Hogwarts Castle, this new show features an exhibition of images inspired by memorable moments from the Harry Potter films, including the journey aboard the Hogwarts Express and the sorting ceremony.
