Krasnodar defender Volkov demanded that the club management sell him to Zenit
Krasnodar footballer Sergei Volkov demanded to be sold to Zenit. The Telegram channel “Mutko against” writes about this.
The defender came to the management of Krasnodar and stated that, despite the contract, which will be valid for another two years, he wants to leave for Zenit. But according to Sport Express, the St. Petersburg club has other candidates for this position and there are currently no negotiations on Volkov’s transfer.
At the end of May, RB Sport wrote that Krasnodar and Zenit had almost agreed on the transfer of the 21-year-old defender. The St. Petersburg club was ready to pay five million euros for the transfer. Volkov played 29 matches for Krasnodar in all competitions last season and made three assists.
Earlier it became known that Turkish Besiktas midfielder Baktier Zainutdinov asked the club not to sell him to Zenit. “Baktier does not want to leave Besiktas. He is very happy in Istanbul. I learned that he asked to reject Zenit’s offer,” said journalist Sergeant Dikme.
