Isabel Herguera wins the Contrechamp prize at the Annecy Festival with “The Sultana’s Dream”

Isabel Herguera has won the Annecy Festival Contrechamp Grand Prixworld reference in animated cinema, for his film The sultana’s dream. The film has the EITB participation.
The sultana’s dreampremiered in the last edition of Zinemaldia, is inspired by a feminist science fiction short story written in Bengal in 1905 to tell of Inés’s journey of discovery of India in search of Ladyland, the utopian land of women.
The Annecy Festival, created in 1960 in this city on a lake at the foot of the French Alps, awarded the Contrechamp Grand Prix in 2023 to Robot Dreams, by Pablo Berger from Bilbao. The Contrechamp Section is the second largest in Annecy and is dedicated to the most daring or out-of-the-norm animation projects.
