The president of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoganhas deposited in the Israeli Government and its prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahuthe fault of the current paralysis of negotiations to end a ceasefire in the Gaza war and has assured that the Israeli president “would be the envy of Hitler“according to the “genocidal methods” that he is using in the enclave.
“Hamas has agreed to a ceasefire but Israel keeps making excuses. They do not want the hostilities to end because what they want is to occupy all of Gaza“, said the Turkish president in an interview with the Greek newspaper ‘Kathimerini’.
Erdoganwhich refuses to recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization and considers itself an ally of its political leader, Ismail Haniye, has stated that the Palestinian movement “only seeks to recover the lands occupied by Israel and revive the initiative for a Palestinian state.”
“What’s more, Hamas has promised that if such a thing happens, it will dismantle its armed wing and continue its path exclusively as a political party to work for a sustainable and permanent solution,” he added.
The Turkish president then proceeded to renew his criticism against Netanyahuwhich “has reached a level that would be the envy of Hitler with the genocidal methods it is employing” in the operation on the Gaza Strip.
“Wasn’t that place an open-air prison before the war, years before the war even, like a concentration camp? What would you call someone who rains bombs on that place?” asked the Turkish president.
