Sources from the military intelligence services of Ukraine (GUR) claimed responsibility this Saturday for a night attack against a Lukoil company refinery in Volgograd, about 400 kilometers east of the Ukrainian border.
“At 3:45 in the morning, the drones GUR visited the Volgograd refinery, owned by Lukoil-Volgogradneftyepereroba“, sources from the GUR to the Ukrainian newspaper Ukrainskaya Pravda.
According to the leak, the refinery has suffered damage and the drones caused the disconnection of seven refrigerators and damage to the chimney of one of the ovens.
The refinerywith a capacity of 14.8 million tons, had already been the subject of another similar attack on February 3, when a fire broke out at the facilities.
The Russian authorities reported this Saturday several ukrainian attacks against the Volgograd, Belgorod and Kursk regions, where the deaths of two civilians were recorded.
In Belgorod, a man was killed by explosives thrown by the kyiv forces from a quadcopter, according to the local governor, Viacheslav Gladkov.
Also in Kursk, a drone dropped explosives that killed a resident of the city of Sudzha, reported local leader Román Starovoit.
