In the midst of chaos and tragedy at the Emirati hospital in Kuwait, a medical team has achieved a miracle by bringing a premature baby into the world by cesarean section. Little Sabreen, named after her deceased mother, has emerged into the world after seven and a half months of gestation.

Dr. Mohamed Salah, head of the neonatal intensive care unit, has expressed the anguish of seeing the little girl deprived of breastfeeding, “Where is the milk? Everything has been forbidden to her, her mother and her milk”.

The war that broke out while Sabreen was still brewing claimed the lives of her parents and her four-year-old older sister, leaving her as the only survivor of his family.

With only one kilo four hundred, Sabreen is now in an incubator, fighting for his life along with other premature babies affected by the conflict. Her maternal grandmother, Ahalam Al-Kurdi, has stated her commitment to caring for her, stating that Sabreen “is the love and soul of the family.”
