In total, Carvalho addressed eight thousand cards to Harry Styles during the month – including wedding cards. According to the prosecutor’s office, two letters were delivered directly to the address of the famous artist. The woman was charged with stalking and harassment that resulted in serious distress and discomfort to the injured party. The 35-year-old was arrested and during the trial she pleaded guilty.

Harrow Crown Court in London found Myra Carvalho guilty of the charges and sentenced the woman to 14 weeks in prison. In addition, a fan of Harry Styles was banned from approaching the star for 10 years. This also applies to the artist’s concerts and public events in which he will participate.

As reported by the BBC, Carvalho cannot contact the famous musician directly or indirectly and cannot stay in north-west London. She was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £134. The surcharge operates under the English and Wallan legal system and is paid into the General Victims and Witnesses Fund.
