The White House Homeland Security spokesman, John Kirby, has assured that “no test” that him attack carried out by Israel against workers of the NGO World Central Kitchen (WCK) in the Gaza Strip has been “deliberate”.

“Your question assumes, at this early hour, that it was a deliberate hit, that they knew exactly what they were hitting, that they were hitting humanitarian workers and they did it on purpose, and there is no evidence of this,” he said at a conference. press in response to a question from a journalist.

In this sense, he explained that the US State Department “has a process”. “And to date, as you and I speak, you have not found any incident in which the Israelis have violated Humanitarian Law,” she said.

Kirby has also indicated that Washington hopes “that the investigation” led by Israel “is completed and as transparent as possible”, adding, however, that they will not dictate a “date on the calendar” to their Israeli ally.

The attack, which resulted in the death of seven humanitarian workers from the NGO of Spanish chef José Andrés, took place in the Deir al Balá area, in the center of the Gaza Strip and, according to the organization itself, the deceased had British, Polish, Australian, Palestinian and American-Canadian nationality.

The NGO WCK, which has paralyzed its operations in the Palestinian enclave after the attack, explained that the convoy, hit when leaving a warehouse after unloading 100 tons of food, was coordinated with the Israeli Army.

WCK workers were in the Palestinian enclave in full humanitarian mission, in collaboration with the NGO Open Arms, to establish a maritime humanitarian corridor between Cyprus and Gaza and thus overcome the enormous obstacles imposed by Israel for the delivery of aid by land.
