The until now head of communications at Credit Suisse, Markus Jaggi, will take charge of that responsibility at the Swiss Financial Markets Supervisory Authority (Finma), it reported in a statement.
Jaggi, in charge of communications at Credit Suisse in its last years as an independent entity and in the first year after its purchase by UBS (from 2021 to 2024), will replace Tobias Lux at Finma.
From 2015 to 2021 he worked in the media relations services of the Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis, and previously, between 2008 and 2015, he was in charge of similar functions in another large Swiss multinational, the cement company Holcim.
At 55 years old and with a doctorate in Economics, Jaggi began his career as a senior economist at UBS, although he soon dedicated himself to the communications branch, Finma highlighted this Tuesday.
