Several people have been injured, including three minors, as a result of a shooting that occurred inside a school, located in the district of Viertola, in the city of Vantaa from southern Finland. The author, also a minor, has already been arrested, the Finnish Police have reported.
The Finnish Police responded to the scene shortly after 9:00 a.m. local time. In a brief note on his website, he reported that “There are injuries in the shooting“, although he has not specified more.
“The police arrested the suspect. “The investigation continues,” he added, asking local residents not to open the doors of their homes to “strangers” and to passersby to stay away from the school area.
The center where these events took place is a primary school where around 800 students attend daily and where 90 people work.
Vantaa’s deputy director of education and training, Katri Kalske, has reported that has convened a crisis cabinet and has explained that any update on what happened is in the hands of the Police, reports the Finnish channel Yle.
