A Lion on the loose in Berlin has spread panic around the German capital. Daniel Keip, the spokesman for the Police, has declared to the media “Bild” that several “witnesses saw a predator snatching a wild boar around midnight. We have also received video footage. According to them, it is a lioness. At the moment we have no reason to doubt its authenticity.”
At the moment, the search for this supposed lioness is focused on the German municipality of Kleinmachnow, where 20,000 inhabitants reside.
“We don’t know where it came from,” said a police spokesman for the area. As explained by the security forces, zoos, parks with the presence of animals, circuses and protective facilities have been reviewed, but no notice of the disappearance of a big cat has been registered.
As a preventive measure, the Police have asked citizens to avoid leaving their homes in the areas of Kleinmachnow, Teltow and Stahnsdorf (P.M). In addition, they advise keeping pets indoors while the alert lasts. At 7:30 in the morning they have notified that the animal is still loose and they have launched a petition to the population:“If you see the animal, report it through the emergency number 110!”
