It’s the first time that Tim Shaddock and her dog Bella set foot on land after two months adrift. “I was struggling, health was pretty bad for a while,” admits the Australian from 54 years. Grateful, he admits that, on more than one occasion, he thought he was going to die.

I was very hungry and I didn’t think I would survive to storm. But now I’m fine,” says the sailor who washed up off the coast of Mexico few days ago. He points out that Prettyhis dog and companion during the shipwreck, has been a fundamental support.

“She’s amazing, dude. I mean, that dog is something else.“, he points out. For almost three months they have been feeding themselves with rainwater and raw fish that they collected in the same Pacific for which they have been almost incommunicado 70 days.

A story of survival

Little by little we are learning more information about this amazing story of survival. The tuna vessel that found Tim is actually owned by the Spanish Antonio Guerrawho in an interview with the Mexican radio station ADN40, has assured that “the man was obviously very grateful and very happy.”

Although Guerra, CEO of Grupomar, was not on the ship at the time of the rescue, his workers informed him at all times of the situation and state of health of the castaway. “He looked very weak, very dehydrated and the first thing they gave him was first aid,” says the businessman.

And after enjoying a banquet paid for by the Spanish companyTim and Bella welcome, now yes, to a second and new life safe and sound.
