When it was announced historical imputation of the former president of the United States, donald trumpit was learned that the case was related to an alleged fraudulent payment to buy the silence of the porn actress Stephanie Clifford aka Stormy Daniels. With her, the ex-president would have had sexual relations and in the face of the 2016 elections he would have paid her so that she would not tell what happened. But Stormy Daniels You would not be the only woman that Donald Trump tried to bribe.
This was reported by the Manhattan prosecutor, Alvin Braggthe first prosecutor to sit a former president on the bench and also the first African-American District Attorney for Manhattan. After reading the 34 charges against him to Trump for falsifying business records, and of those who already has pleaded not guiltythe prosecutor has explained that the defendant “orchestrated an illegal plot that issued three payments to people with harmful information about him.” All in the context of the presidential elections of the year in which Trump was elected president.
According to Bragg, Trump, together with the publisher American Media Incorporated (AMI) and his former personal lawyer Michael Cohen, “agreed in 2015 to execute a ‘catch and kill’ plotwhich is a plot to buy and suppress negative information, to improve Trump’s chances of winning the elections.” The three cases that Trump would have wanted to cover up to avoid a scandal are the following:
A first payment to the porn actress Stormy Daniels
To Stormy Daniels, former Trump attorney Michael Cohen, I would have paid him $130,000 two weeks before the 2016 elections through “a shell company”, according to what was revealed by the former lawyer after pleading guilty and serving a sentence. An amount that “exceeds the limit of contributions to federal campaigns,” according to prosecutor Bragg.
The sexual encounter between the two would have produced in 2006, a year after he married his third wife, Melania, during a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe. He would have promised her that she would appear on her television show and her sex would have been consensual. But then he would have wanted to have sex on subsequent occasions and she would have refused. He would then have told her that she hadn’t gotten her on her show.
A second payment to another woman, the model Karen McDougal
The second woman in the case would be Playboy model Karen McDougal. She would have received a payment of $150,000 for his silence about an alleged sexual relationship with the then candidate, similar to what happened with Stormy Daniels.
A third surprise payment
This third supposed payment was not known. The Prosecutor’s Office has explained in a press release dating back to 2015.
It was done by the publisher American Media Incorporated and gave $30,000 to a former Trump Tower doorman “who claimed to have a story about a child Trump had out of wedlock“.
The plot denounced by the prosecutor includes criminal activities such as the establishment of shell companies and the production of false documents, and compares it to a “conspiracy to promote an (electoral) candidacy by illegal means.”
