34 migrants disappear after a shipwreck off the coast of Tunisia
Another boat with 25 people has been wrecked in the same area. All its occupants have been rescued, except for a baby, who has died. So far this year in 2023, 469 migrants have already died or disappeared in the Mediterranean, 54 of whom are children.

34 people have disappeared after a shipwreck off the coast of tunisia this Friday, and the authorities have managed to rescue four, according to a spokesman for the Sfax court, on the east coast of Tunisia, near Malta.
The migrants, who all came from from different sub-Saharan countriesthey were heading to the coasts of Italy, as published by the Italian agency ANSA.
Besides, another precarious boat that tried to cross the Mediterranean with 25 people on board has been wrecked, and its occupants have been rescued, all but one babywho has finally passed away. It has also happened off the Tunisian coast of Sfa.
So far this year in 2023 they have already died or disappeared 469 migrants in the Mediterranean, of which 54 are childrenaccording to data from the Missing Migrants Project.
In addition, the organization has accounted for 26,227 migrants have disappeared in the Mediterranean since 2014of which 20,658 are people traveling using the central Mediterranean route.
