The initiative has emerged from the Cultura Contra Balas association and has the support of Aldeas Infantiles SOS, which owns the copyright to the song. He video was recorded in november last year by students of the Notas Alegres music school in kyiv, in the center of the capital.
The boys and girls rehearsed the song by José Luis Perales illuminating the notes with the flashlights of their mobiles in the darkness of the bomb shelter and accompanied by sirens.
“For this children between the ages of 5 and 17, who daily experience the atrocities of war, music is a force for transformation and hope; learning the song in Spanish was an exciting challenge and today is their call to all of society to stop indifference,” they explained from the Cultura Contra Balas association.
According to the organization, the children “want to teach that culture is their tool against the brutality of war and that despite the darkness and the cold they continue to sing and create music, with the hope that the children of Spain and the whole worldor unite your voices for peace to come“.
