Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenki said on Tuesday that he had heard from his Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba that China had a peace proposal, but admitted that he had not received any official documents.

Beijing has not yet formally submitted its initiative, so the terms of it are unknown.

After his consultations with Lavrov, after which a press conference is not scheduled, the head of Chinese diplomacy will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, as confirmed by the Kremlin.

Wang’s visit to the Russian capital comes on the eve of the first anniversary of the start of Russia’s war campaign in Ukraine, which falls on Friday.
