On Sunday night in France there was an astronomical phenomenon that often cannot be visible, it was the fall of a meteorite near a city.
The European Space Agency (ESA) had warned of this fall hours before and it is the seventh time that the impact of an asteroid has been predicted.
What is known about the unidentified objects reported in recent days
The object had a diameter of one meter and disintegrated upon entering the atmosphere, near Rouen, according to what was recorded in several videos shared on social networks. The discovery was made by the specialist Krisztián Sárneczky, in Hungary.
The asteroid was named Sar2667 and could be seen in other countries such as Great Britain, Belgium and the Netherlands, it had been ruled out that it could cause damage to the surface although it is in search of remains.
The video shows how the asteroid enters the planet and from one moment to the next it disintegrates, with a great flash of light.
ESA indicated that the detection of these phenomena sets a precedent for advances in this area. (YO)
